The Party Cell of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School - Hanoi National University of Education and the Logistics Department - Ministry of Public Security Paid a Visit to Quang Tri: A Bridge of Gratitude and Affection
From October 30 to November 1st, 2026, with the approval of Hanoi National University of Education, Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School - in collaboration with the Logistics Department of the Ministry of Public Security and the Quang Tri Provincial Police organized a community outreach journey in Quang Tri Province. The delegation comprised Party members, teachers, and parents of the school, alongside officers and youth union members from the Logistics Department. Far more than a thematic political activity or a charitable mission, the journey served as a bridge connecting hearts from the capital to the sacred soil of Central Vietnam: kindling dreams at Le The Hieu Secondary School (Cam Lo Commune), empowering the grassroots police force in maintaining local security, and upholding the solemn oath of Party members before the preceding generations.

Part 1: A Journey of Affection from the Capital to the war-torn land of Quang Tri
As part of the working plan of the Party Committee of Hanoi National University of Education, the Party Cell of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School and its partner units carried out a thematic program aimed at fostering political awareness, political consciousness, and profound gratitude for this heroic land and the preceding generations who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland. This also served as a valuable opportunity for the school to elevate and spread the spirit of community responsibility among its administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
The delegation of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School consisted of 34 members: 26 Party members of the Party Cell, 5 form teacher representatives, and 3 parent representatives, led by Mr. Pham Sy Cuong, Secretary of the Party Cell and Principal of the School. United by a shared sense of responsibility, they brought the warmth of affection across a long journey toward the war-torn land of Quang Tri.
As early as late September 2026, the call to action "Hướng về miền Trung" ( Heading toward the Central Region ) launched by Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School received an enthusiastic response. Every book and donation parcel carried not only material value but also the profound affection of parents and students from the capital for this heroic land. Notably, the parent community of the 11th-grade cohort unanimously contributed all proceeds from their Community Fund raised during the 2026 Lunar New Year Fair (Hội chợ Xuân Bính Ngọ) to provide practical gifts for students in Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province. Thanks to this collective solidarity, the delegation's supplies included:
- Teaching equipment: 25 All-in-One computers; 01 86-inch 4K toughened interactive flat panel display complete with a mounting bracket and connection cables; 01 printer.
- Learning materials: 1,200 reference books and storybooks; 4,000 notebooks and 1,500 ballpoint pens, among other items.
- Social welfare support: Health insurance coverage funded for 42 disadvantaged students totaling VND 28,690,200, alongside 42 gift packages—each consisting of 20 notebooks, 20 pens, and a complete set of school supplies—presented directly to each student.

The provisions were thoroughly and meticulously prepared by the collective of Party members, teachers, parents, and students, brimming with affection toward “the war-torn land”.
Part 2: Kindling the Seeds of Hope on the Resilient Cua Land
On the morning of October 31, 2026, the delegation stopped at Le The Hieu Secondary School (Cam Lo Commune, Quang Tri Province). The school comprises two campuses with 21 classes, 800 students, and 47 administrators, teachers, and staff members. Named after a staunch communist soldier, the school is located in the Cua region - a land rich in revolutionary tradition that bears the deep historical imprints of Tan So Citadel associated with Can Vuong movement, and the Cua revolutionary base associated with the Dong Khoi movement in 1964. While the local residents have a proud tradition of valuing education, living conditions remain challenging, and the school’s facilities, despite receiving investment, still fall short of the teaching requirements in the new era.

The solemn yet touching atmosphere of the meeting between the two schools from both regions of the Fatherland.
Amidst the warm atmosphere of the exchange, Ms. Hoang Thi Huong Giang, Principal of Le The Hieu Secondary School, expressed her profound gratitude and deep appreciation for the kindness shown by the teachers and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School. The donated gifts, learning materials, and information technology equipment not only improve teaching, learning, and working conditions, but also contribute to promoting the application of technology and digital transformation in education within this still-disadvantaged grassroots area. This serves as a tremendous source of encouragement, reinforcing the confidence of teachers and students to strive and excel. At the same time, the school expressed its desire to maintain a close connection with Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School - a leading high - quality anchor school of the capital - to learn from its experiences in management, pedagogical innovation, and the organization of educational activities.

The Board of Management and parent representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School, alongside officials from the Logistics Department of the Ministry of Public Security, presented facilities and meaningful gifts to support teaching activities at Le The Hieu Secondary School.

Practical gifts were presented directly to 42 disadvantaged students at Le The Hieu Secondary School.

The joy of the students upon receiving modern teaching equipment, alongside the affection and sharing from the teachers and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Pham Sy Cuong, Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School, expressed his expectations for the connection between the two schools: “The sharing between our two schools goes beyond material and spiritual support; it is also an opportunity to encourage and learn from one another, striving together toward the ultimate goal of educating kind, well-rounded, and humane individuals. Human education remains the most sustainable goal.”

Dr. Pham Sy Cuong expressed his profound gratitude to the organizations and individuals who have accompanied and connected with them to bring about this deeply meaningful charitable program.
Also within the framework of the program, Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School - in collaboration with the Youth Union of the Logistics Department (Ministry of Public Security) and Quang Trị Provincial Police - presented 02 computers, along with sports equipment and uniforms, to Cam Lo Commune Police. This contribution aims to improve working, living, and physical training conditions for grassroots officers and soldiers - those who day and night stay close to the local area to safeguard peace for the people. Speaking at the program, Senior Colonel Do Tuan Son, Deputy Director of the Logistics Department (Ministry of Public Security), emphasized the practical significance of grassroots-oriented volunteer activities; he urged the youth of the Logistics Department in particular, and union members and young people in general, to continue promoting their pioneering spirit, creativity, and sense of responsibility by closely linking social welfare activities with the political tasks of their units.

The “Toward the Grassroots” program was deeply imbued with the warmth of solidarity among party cells across multiple units.
Part 3: Kindling Ideals and Love for the Homeland at the “Red Address”
Leaving behind the vibrant atmosphere of Le The Hieu Secondary School and Cam Lo Commune Police, the Party Cell held a political activity session across a series of historical sites in Quang Tri. The first stop was the Tan So Citadel National Historical Relic Site (Cam Lo Commune). This is where Emperor Ham Nghi issued the Can Vuong (Aiding the King) Decree in 1885, calling upon scholars, gentry, and people nationwide to rise up against French colonial rule. Here, the historic rallying cry still seemed to echo, serving as a poignant reminder of the nation's unwavering patriotism and indomitable spirit.

The touching historical story of Emperor Ham Nghi serves as a poignant reminder for every teacher to pass down and ignite the flame of patriotism among future generations of students.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery - the resting place of over 10,800 martyrs who laid down their lives on the Road 9 - Southern Laos front, of whom complete personal information has been verified for more than 3,220 martyrs. In front of the central memorial monument and amidst the straight rows of graves, the delegation respectfully offered incense in tribute to the generation of forefathers who dedicated their youth to today's independence.

Educator Pham Sy Cuong and Senior Colonel Do Tuan Son, Deputy Director of the Logistics Department (Ministry of Public Security), tolled nine bell strokes in a deeply moving and sacred memorial ceremony at the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery.

The School's Board of Management and teachers respectfully offered incense to the heroic martyrs.
Emotions surged as the delegation arrived at the central memorial monument of the Quang Tri Citadel Relic Site. Here, during 81 days and nights (from June 28 to September 16th, 1972), the town and the citadel endured 328,000 tons of bombs and shells, equivalent to the destructive power of 7 atomic bombs. Touching the citadel's ancient walls and the land soaked with the blood and bones of their forefathers, many members of the delegation could not hide their deep emotion. More than 4,000 soldiers, the majority in the prime of their youth at eighteen or twenty, forever rested here, transforming into the sacred soul of the rivers and mountains.

The Party Cell's meeting amidst the sacred space featured no podium, only profound gratitude. Confronted with the sacrifices made by the older generation, each official and teacher gained a deeper understanding of the value of peace and the mission of an educator in peacetime: imparting knowledge must always go hand in hand with cultivating character, ideals, and civic responsibility in students.
The journey concluded safely and fully on the afternoon of November 1st , 2026, as the delegation returned to Hanoi. The success of the trip is the culmination of the guidance from the Party Committee and Board of Management of Hanoi National University of Education; the dedication of the Party Cell Committee and Board of Management of Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School; the coordination and partnership of the Logistics Department (Ministry of Public Security), Quang Tri Provincial Police, the local authority of Cam Lo Commune, and Le The Hieu Secondary School; the enthusiastic support of the Parent Representative Board, parents, and students throughout the school; as well as the earnest and enthusiastic commitment of the Party members within the Party Cell.
The trip has ended, but practical lessons remain with every member of the delegation: gratitude is truly complete only when translated into action. The sticks of incense offered in tribute before the heroic martyrs' spirits, the gifts delivered to the teachers and students of the “the war-torn land”, and the spirit of sharing spread to every student at Nguyen Tat Thanh Lower and Upper Secondary School all share a single goal: educating kind, well-rounded, and humane individuals - ensuring that the revolutionary legacy and the warmth of human kindness are passed down through generations.
